How to make immunity booster Concoction

Today the whole world is suffering from the perils of  Corona virus. There is no known medicine to treat Corona virus but you can take steps to improve your immune system .

Through this article, I want to discuss the recipe of an immunity booster Concoction,  also called as Kara.

Kara is an Ayurveda recipe and  contains all the Ayurveda herbs.

But before moving ahead, let’s learn about Corona virus and Ayurveda.

Corona virus(Covid-19)

Corona virus also known Covid 19 is a very contagious virus which spreads by touching the contaminated surfaces. For most people it has common flu like symptoms, such as, fever and body ache. Severe cases  may also develop difficulty in breathing and pneumonia ( especially to people with underlying health conditions).
There is no specific medication or vaccine for covid-19 at this point.
 

How to protect ourselves from Corona virus (Covid-19)

  1. Wash your hands frequently for 20 secs
  2. Stay at home and step out only for essentials.
  3. Maintain social distances of at least 6 feet.

Aryuveda

Ayurveda is considered one of the world’s oldest healing sciences, originating in India more than 5000 years ago. It literally means “Knowledge of longevity “

Aryurveda emphasis on health as calm and satisfied mind with a perfect balance of nature.

Ayurveda aims to preserve health by keeping the mind ,body,and spirit in balance.

Some important Ayurvedic herbs that can help improve digestion , mental health and immunity, with science backed health benefits are:
Turmeric, Ginger,Amla (Indian gooseberry) lemon, Basil(tulsi), bitter melon, cinnamon,black pepper, Ashwagandha(Withania Somnifera).

How to make immunity booster concoction

Kara can be very useful in increasing your immunity. Prepare it according the below recipe and drink it every night after dinner.

Ingredients:

2 1/2 cup boiling water
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/4th teaspoon ginger powder
1/4 teaspoon black pepper powder
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon powder
1/16th teaspoon clove powder
1/4th teaspoon fennel powder
1/4th teaspoon basil powder
1/2 lemon
Black salt or pink salt
 

Directions:

Put all the above ingredients in a pot  with water. Keep the concoction boiling on low heat for least 10 mins.
Squeeze 1/4 lemon in a cup with pinch of black salt or pink salt and pour the strain liquid in the cup.
Drink hot.
